YEREVAN – Overall 40,638 children were born in Armenia in 2016, a 2.7% decrease as compared previous year, representative of National Statistical Service Karine Kuyumjyan said.
According to preliminary data, boys-girls ratio made 112 boys to 100 girls. Kuyumjyan also said 688 stillbirth cases were registered in 2016, a 14% decline as compared to 2015.
