The speaker of US House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, doubts, that the US president Donald Trump will improve relations with Moscow, reports the Voice of America.

" There is a difference between the United States of America and Putin's Russia," said Ryan in his interview with PBS. According to him, Trump’s approach toward Russia is similar to the positions of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

The speaker reminded about the so-called "reset" policy with Russia, which the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was trying to apply. " “I think this president’s trying to do the same thing. I just don’t, personally, think it’s going to work,"said Ryan.

Commenting on recent statements made by Trump about Vladimir Putin, Paul Ryan, said: “I just disagree with any kind of notion of a moral equivalency” between the two countries, Ryan said. “There’s a gaping difference between the United States of America and Putin’s Russia.”
