The German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble compared the main challenger of Angela Merkel, the Social Democrat leader Martin Schulz, with the President of the United States Donald Trump, reports Spiegel.
"When Schulz allows his colleagues to say ‘let’s make Europe great again’, it repeats Trump’s rhetoric," said the finance minister of Germany. Schäuble also condemned Schulz of making "populist" statements, calling such behavior "unacceptable."
