YEREVAN. – On Friday at around 12:10pm, a man climbed on a crane in downtown Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, and he is threatening to throw himself down.

His wife, T. Ghazaryan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that her husband was being searched for as missing, for three days.

“He was driving a taxi on a daily pay. He had hit the car, and the owner of the car demands one million drams [about $US 2,050]; we don’t have that [much] money,” said the woman. “He is asking for a loan from banks, to give the money to the lenders; [but] they don’t give a loan. And the lenders are constantly bothering.”

The woman is trying to convince M. M., 57, to come down, but the man remains on the crane, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene.

He is demanding that the banks give him a loan to be able to pay back his lenders.

Psychologists are conversing with him, but the man is not permitting rescuers to approach him.
