YEREVAN. - Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Friday received founder and executive director of Kaspersky Lab, Yevgeny Kaspersky.  

The PM noted that the Armenian Government is interested in developing and deepening the cooperation with the company, stressing that the IT sector is at the center of the Government’s attention.

Yevgeny Kaspersky, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the Armenian representation of the company, underscoring the importance of cooperation in the IT and cyber security spheres. Referring to the possibilities of training the specialists of the sphere, Mr Kaspersky stressed that an agreement on cooperation in the information security sphere has been signed with the Armenian side and that the programs planned in its framework will contribute to raising the education level of specialists and cybersecurity.

During the meeting, the representatives of Kaspersky Lab briefed the PM on the work carried out in the direction of e-voting system.
