There are no objective reasons for the current situation in Armenia, and the sole reason is the inaction by the incumbent authorities.

Former Foreign Vartan Oskanian, who is third on the Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance’s proportional representation list for the forthcoming parliamentary election in the country, on Friday stated the aforesaid speaking at the bloc’s election campaign assembly in Hrazdan town.

Nonetheless, as per Oskanian, in case of change of power, there are available resources—both in Armenia and in the Armenian diaspora—to bring the country’s economy back on its feet.

“We [i.e. Armenia] have made use of the US Millennium Challenge [Corporation] program for a long time,” added the ex-FM. “But they closed it after the change of power [in the country].”

In Vartan Oskanian’s conviction, in case of change of power, $1.5-2 billion-worth of investments and grants can be brought to Armenia, every year.

The parliamentary election in the country will be conducted on April 2.
