In 2017, a total of $41-million worth of investment is planned in Shirak Province.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) First Deputy Chairman, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, on Sunday stated the aforementioned at his talk with voters in Gyumri, the second largest town of the country.

“With this investment, we are going to implement more than 30 projects,” added Karapetyan. “We will create 2,000 jobs.”

The PM also noted that the government envisions about $3.2-billion worth of investment, about $830 million of which—in the current year.

The RPA on Sunday is campaigning in Shirak Province, ahead of the National Assembly election.

The parliamentary election in Armenia will be conducted on April 2.
