YEREVAN. - The delegation of the United States European Command (EUCOM)  headed by Deputy Director of Planning and Politics Directorate, Brigadier General Daune Deskins, arrived in Armenia on Monday.

Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with the head of the Defense Policy Department of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Levon Ayvazyan, head of the Strategic Planning Department of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Genadi Tavaratsyan, and head of the Human Rights and Discipline Center, Lieutenant-Colonel Alik Avetisyan, the press-service of the Defense Ministry informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

During the meeting, issues related to the Armenian-American programs implemented in defense sphere, reforms of the defense system, reconsideration of defense strategy, human rights defense in the defense sphere and other issues were discussed.

The delegation is scheduled to visit the peacekeeping engineering battalion of the Armenian Armed Forces on Tuesday.
