YEREVAN. – The new election system in Armenia enables a regime change through elections.

Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party MP—and MP candidate—Armen Rustamyan on Friday stated the above-said at a press conference.

He noted that the power production “machine” in Armenia was based on two pillars; the first being the majoritarian voting system.

In the ARF representative’s words, however, the most important thing is that the new election system eliminates the bonuses, in terms of parliamentary seats, which the authorities had in the past.

Second, as per Rustamyan, the new system will not make it possible to present “inflated” numbers; that is, voter turnout in Sunday’s parliamentary election will be much less than in previous elections, since a real turnout will be recorded this time.
