Armenian serviceman Gor Hovhannisyan, who was killed by the Azerbaijani side Friday, was the resident of Kovsakan town of Karabakh.

His family currently lives in Martuni town. After graduating from Yerevan’s Vazgen Sargsyan Military Institute, Hovhannisyan, 24, immediately joined the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army.

Gor was the oldest child in the family. He also has two brothers, one of which is a compulsory military serviceman of the NKR Defense Army. 

Karabakh army soldier Gor Hovhannisyan (born in 1993) was fatally wounded on Friday afternoon at an outpost of a military unit located in the eastern direction.
