YEREVAN. - The information on the Armenians injured in the St. Petersburg metro explosion is not confirmed, Spokesperson for the Armenian MFA, Tigran Balayan, wrote on his Twitter page.
“The Consulate General of Armenia in St. Petersburg informed that the data on injured Armenians are not confirmed. These data are not yet final,” Balayan said.
The blast occurred at 2:20pm on a train leaving the Technology Institute station and heading to the Sennaya Ploshad station. According to the official information, 10 people have been killed and 37 injured as a result of the blast. The media outlets inform about 14 casualties. The Prosecutor General of Russia is considering the version of terrorist attack. Warrants have been issued for two people wanted over the incident.
