YEREVAN. – Three political forces have applied for participation in the elections for the Yerevan Council of Elders.

The Republican Party of Armenia, newly formed Yerkir Tsirani (Country of Apricots) party and Yelk bloc will join the race for membership in the Council of Elders. The party having majority in the Council will  nominate a mayor.

The elections will be held on May 14 with campaign starting on April 21.
