US President Donald Trump has extended the sanctions against Syria.
The President “took these actions to deal with the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States,” Washington Post reports, citing the White House.
Earlier, former president Barack Obama extended the sanctions against Syria in 2011 and 2012.
