YEREVAN. – Ara Babloyan has been elected speaker of Armenia's National Assembly.
Babloyan, a candidate of the Republican Party of Armenia, was supported by 88 MPs, while candidate from Yelk bloc Edmon Marukyan – by 12 MPs.
Overall, 100 deputies out of 105 participated in the vote.
