At least eight people were killed and 30 more were injured as a result of the second deadly explosion striking Baghdad in 24 hours, Al-Jazeera reported.

The second blast was also a car bomb attack. Video posted to social media showed plumes of black smoke rising from a building.

Earlier it was noted that а car bomb which went off outside an ice cream shop in central Baghdad, killed at least 13 people and injured 30 more. The Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for the attack.
