US President Donald Trump's administration tightened the rules for issuing entry visas, approving a new questionnaire for applicants. It includes a number of new points, including social media handles, Reuters reported.
Under the new procedures, consular officials can request all prior passport numbers, five years' worth of social media handles, email addresses and phone numbers and 15 years of biographical information including addresses, employment and travel history.
These questions are indicated in the questionnaire as optional, but lack of answers may lead to delay of issuing a visa or to refusal of it.
