Renowned French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour on Wednesday visited the Tatev monastery in Syunik Province of Armenia. He was accompanied by his son Nicolas, and friends and associates. 

But Aznavour’s first stop was the TaTever (Wings of Tatev) aerial tramway’s Halidzor station, where he admired the nature of Syunik. 

Subsequently, the famous musician headed for the Tatev monastery, where Nicolas Aznavour was baptized.

“I’m very proud that my son, Nicolas, decided to be baptized in Armenia,” Charles Aznavour said. “My parents would have been so happy knowing that, staying true to their roots, my two sons, Mischa and Nicolas, were baptized here in Armenia.”

Nicolas Aznavour, for his part, noted that being baptized at the Tatev monastery was one of the unforgettable moments of his life.
