Germany will try to avoid further worsening of the already tense relations with Turkey during the withdrawal of German troops from Incirlik military base, German FM Sigmar Gabriel said, Reuters reports.

In his words, his agency will do its best not to exacerbate the situation meanwhile the German servicemen leave the military base.

Earlier, German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen stated that 280 servicemen will be deployed from Incirlik military base to Jordan. The German government will consider that issue on Wednesday.  

Berlin decided to take this action, since Ankara banned the German deputies to visit the military base.
