YEREVAN. – Inauguration of the reelected Mayor of Yerevan, Taron Margaryan, took place Monday at the special session of the Yerevan Council (PHOTOS). 

The event brought together the President of Armenia, Catholicos of All Armenians, National Assembly speaker, Prime Minister, former Mayor Yervand Zakharyan, and social, political, and cultural figures.

Margaryan recited the text of the oath of office with his hand on the Law on Local Self-Government in Yerevan.

Subsequently, the chain of office of the Mayor of Yerevan was presented to Taron Margaryan.
