Three people were injured as a result of a passenger bus falling into a canal in Voronezh Oblast (province) of Russia, en route from Moscow to Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan. 

Press service of the  Voronezh Oblast Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs on Tuesday informed about the aforesaid. 

Accordingly, on Tuesday morning, the 35-year-old driver of this bus lost the latter’s control on the highway passing through the Verkhniy Mamon region, and the bus went down into a canal.

There were 39 people on the bus, and three of them were injured as a result of this accident.

The aforementioned department informed that there are two children among the injured. As per the press service, the 7-year-old boy is a resident of Krasnoyarsk Krai (region), whereas the 10-year-old girl is from Kostroma Oblast. 

These victims, who suffered moderate injuries, were taken to the Boguchar town hospital.

Police are conducting an investigation into this incident.
