YEREVAN. – Transparency will be one of the key criteria for government activity, said President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, at Thursday’s Cabinet session of the government.

Sargsyan noted that the executive branch of power in the county shall set relevant standards and serve example for others. 

According to the President, the government of Armenia has succeeded in the domains where it presented the respective steps in detail to the public.

He noted that the main objective of transparency shall be the elimination of corruption and “patronage.”

“Now, we are introducing new and quite influential measures to fight against corruption, and these measures shall be combined with our purposeful work.”
