YEREVAN. – The government decided to extend preferences to the Armenian border villages from 2018 to 2021.
The residents of 37 communities get 50-percent compensation for gas and electricity rates. The communities not having gas will get an additional subsidy for electricity. The government will also provide subsidy for irrigation water.
Around 56 thousand people live in 37 communities on the border with Azerbaijan.
