Armenia can apply to the International Criminal Court to file a suit against Turkey, German scientist Tessa Hoffman said at an international conference “The Crime of Genocide: Prevention, condemnation and elimination of consequences” held in Yerevan.

According to her, during his recent visit to Armenia and meetings with Armenia’s leadership, Prosecutor of International Criminal Court Luis Moreno-Ocampo expressed his readiness to assist Armenia in suing Turkey.

Hoffman also emphasized the international regimes cannot long oppose the recognition of Armenian Genocide as it has become an imperative of time.

As NEWS.am reported previously, scientists from 11 European countries, as well as U.S., Canada, Australia, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel and Japan participated in the conference.
