YEREVAN. – At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the government of Armenia has approved the draft for ratification of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Customs Code.

The code will come into force on January 1, 2018. Its basic principles are the expansion of e-declaration of goods and acceleration of their customs clearance.

The Eurasian Economic Union comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
