Kyrgyzstan will not withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC) because of the actions of Kazakhstan, said the President of Kyrgyztan Almazbek Atambayev, RIA Novosti reported.

“We never intended and are not going to do that. But the reality is that Kyrgyzstan is cut off from the rest of the EAEU countries for more than a month” Atambayev said.

Kazakhstan imposed restrictions on the movement of Kyrgyz goods across the border. Atambayev explained that Kazakhstan’s actions are related to his criticism against the authorities of the neighboring country.

In early October, Atambayev said the Kazakh authorities were imposing their candidate for the presidency of Kyrgyzstan.
