According to “Hayots Ashkhar” Armenia’s external debt to GDP increased from 13% to 40%. It is due to an increase in external loans and decline of GDP.

It is expected that by the end of this year, the share of external debt to GDP ratio will be 43-54%. According to the Statistical Service, as of October 1, Armenia’s external debt amounts to $ 3.7 billion, almost a 2 time increase in 2 years.

Armenia’s Domestic debt for the past 2 years has increased by $200 million, amounting to 165 billion drams.
