The founding fathers of the United States have built this country based, first of all, on biblical values, and today, the US must assume responsibility for protecting Christians.

Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs (House Foreign Affairs Committee) of the US House of Representatives, stated about the aforesaid, reported the Voice of America Armenian Service.

Speaking at the International Conference on Religious Freedom, in Washington, D.C., the influential US congressman said he recently visited Christian churches in Iraq and met with the local Christian population.

Royce added that he visited Armenia, too, where met with Christians who had migrated from the Middle East, and said the US respects Armenia for giving shelter to Christians.
