At least 115 Yemen civilians were killed and 83 people injured from December 6 to 16 as a result of recent intensified airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition, said UN Human Rights Office Spokesman Rupert Colville.

According to him, thee U.N. human rights office has verified that 115 civilians were killed and at least 83 injured from airstrikes in the provinces of Sanaa, Saada, Hodeida and Taiz, RIA Novosti reported.

The surge in civilian casualties from airstrikes began following the killing of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh in Sanaa on December 4, noted Rubert.

According to UN, 5,558 Yemen civilians were killed and 9,065 injured from March 2015 to December 14, 2017.
