On December 23, at 24:00 a car accident occurred at the junction of Komitas and Papazyan Streets in Yerevan. An unknown ran over two women, one of them died at the sport, the other was hospitalized.

The officers of Yerevan Road Police arrived at the accident site, a photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan told NEWS.am. After a few minutes the policemen found out Vaz 2106 with Russian number plate, which had collided with a taxi Vaz 2107. The officers found out a camouflage in the car. The driver was brought to police department of Arabkir district of Yerevan.

 As it turned out later, the women were identified as Karine (1960) and Anna Gasparyans. The mother was killed.

An investigation has been launched.
