Azerbaijani presidential and parliamentary elections ate example for many world countries. Such nonsense was declared by Azerbaijani chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Ali Hasanov.

He recalled that he received the OSCE observation mission during recent parliamentary elections. “I told them that the Europeans’ opinion on the independent states, their citizens does not differ from their opinion about the Soviet state, its citizens 30 years ago. But why? Does Azerbaijanis’ level of development fall behind the one of the Europeans’? No, it doesn’t. The election ended, they have not prepared a statement yet, they have not come to conclusion. Some say let’s write what were told. The others say we should write what we observed. I asked them whether they will write what they observed or write what they were told. They told me that I insulted them. I said I did not insult, but asked a simple question. One of the representatives of the previous mission told me that they can not write what they observe. The Council of Europe finished badly by only stating lack of progress during last parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. Now official Baku is mocking at them. Europeans are far from developed Azerbaijan, where “national leader” Heydar Aliyev is made a personality cult, where a president-son is touring the regions and laying wreath at the monument to his father, where a portrait of Heudar Aliyev appears in a screen corner on the days of national holidays, where concerts dedicated to victory in “elections” start in the villages before polling stations are closed. Fortunately, we are all far from Azerbaijanis.
