YEREVAN. – I take each and every statement by the President of Armenia seriously; but we don’t work through ambitions and wish.
Vahram Baghdasaryan, head of the ruling “Republican Party of Armenia” (RPA) Faction, on Tuesday stated the abovementioned during the National Assembly debates on the election of the members of the Supreme Judicial Council.
Baghdasaryan noted this commenting on President and RPA Chairman Serzh Sargsyan’s statement—back in 2014—that he will never formally run for Prime Minister.
“The RPA has assumed responsibility of the country, and we shall find it expedient as to who can assume that ‘helm,’ and in which post,” he said, in particular. “In this case, Serzh Sargsyan, aside from being the RPA leader, he is a rank-and-file party member, and he must comply with the decisions of the political force.”
In Vahram Baghdasaryan’s words, even though every politician is free in his statements and views, each and every decent politician shall comply with the political decisions that are made.
