The Union Internationale du Cinema Non Professionnel (UNICA) holds annual festivals of nonprofessional films. Each participating country is expected to present five or six documentaries, live-action or animation films. Only one Armenian film, Artashes Ohanyan’s “Conductors”, won the gold medal as far back as 1988.
Now, in 22 years, Armenian producers have the right to show their films.
This year the festival will be held in Luxembourg, August 20 to 28. Five Armenian films, one to 20 minute long, will be shown. However, before going to Luxembourg, the films have to win at the national festival of nonprofessional films.
