The U.S. has imposed sanctions on six Iranians and three institutions, including the Evin prison in Tehran.
The Hanista Programing Group and the Ansar-e Hezbollah group were also sanctioned.
As reported earlier, the US President Donald Trumo voiced his decision to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear agreement and re-impose sanctions on Iran.
