Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan`s principle is doing something for the purpose of speaking of it later, the expert in Turkic studies Andranik Ispiryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the Turkish authorities`decision on the repair the Armenian architect Sarkis Lole Gizo`s grave.

"Armenians are known to have made a great contribution to the architecture of Mardin, a city in southeastern Turkey. One of the streets was renamed Sarkis Lole Gizo street. The reason is that there no anti-Armenian sentiments in the region, which is mainly populated by Kurds," Ispiryan said.

According to him, the Turkish authorities, represented by the local government bodies, are implementing a unique policy in the region.

"There are numerous works by Sarkis Lole`s in Mardin. The decision to name one of the districts after him was aimed to show Mardin is a beautiful city with history, where an Armenian architect was working," the expert said.

The plans to repair the architect`s grave were discussed with the Turkish Premier during his visit to Mardin. He approved of the plans.

Erdogan is doing so for the public purposes, Ispiryan said.

The Turkish Premier follows this principle in both domestic and foreign policies, trying to get dividends.

Mardin Mayor Mehmet Besir Ayanoglu told Turkish mass media that he received personal orders from Premier Recep Erdogan to have the Armenian architect`s grave repaired. The Mardin Mayor is going to turn to Sarkis Lole`s descendants residing in Aleppo and Beirut for their consent.
