Inspections at enterprises with a government capital share of 50% and more revealed numerous violations. Financial violations to the amount of 1.3 billion AMD (U.S. $3.5 million) were revealed at 332 companies, with 403 million AMD violations revealed last year.
At the Armenian Government’s sitting, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan pointed out the need for introducing proper order in the enterprises. Some of the 1,400 enterprises are being wound up. “The enterprises we do not need should be either wound up or privatized,” the Premier said.
