On February 5, at 01:41 local time an earthquake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, hit the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, 120 km east of Baku.

The quake origin was at the depth of 65 kilometers, Republican Seismological Service, Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, told Trend News.

The tremors were not felt in Baku and Absheron peninsula.
