Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s "pet", AzTv channel, which is the mouthpiece of state propaganda, goes on telling the public downright falsehood.

The Heberlar TV program has for a week shown pictures of Azerbaijan-blockaded Armenia, long queues in Yerevan and inoperative city transport of the early 1990s. In informing the public of the statements on a gave economic situation made by the Armenian Opposition, the TV channel is doing its best to have viewers believe it is present-day Yerevan.

Today the AzTV channel has informed the public of an action of protest by fixed-run taxi drivers. The comments were accompanied by pictures of rallies attended by thousands of Levon Ter-Petrosyan`s supporters in February 2008. It is for almost three years that AzTV has been showing pictures of the rallies in February 2008 in reporting on any small-scale actions of protest in Yerevan. However, it has never come to Gyumri.

However, every cloud has a silver lining. The energy crisis, which is in the distant past, as well as the Opposition`s rallies are the only hope of the Azeri propaganda system. In misinforming the public, official Baku`s major ideologists "conveniently" forget about the statement repeatedly made by the leader of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan - the ANC members will be the first to defend Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh in case Azerbaijan unleashes war.

So the propagandists serving the Aliyev clan are running rotten business.
