Turkish army shelled positions of the Kurdish YPG units in the north of Syria, DW reported quoting Anadolu agency.

The positions are located in the eastern bank of Euphrates near the city of Kobani.

A summit between France, Germany, Turkey and Russia on a Syrian settlement was held a day before. In the agreement adopted at the end of the summit, the parties stressed the need to work together “to create conditions for peace and stability in Syria.”
