YEREVAN. – The Council of Elders of Yerevan decided to rename one of the Yerevan streets after Raphael Lemkin, a Polish scholar who introduced the term “genocide”.

The decision was approved with 46 votes “for” and no against during a special session on Tuesday.

Representatives of “My Step” bloc said they had held consultation with the foreign ministry, and the street will be renamed during the Third International Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide.
