YEREVAN. – By its vote, the public has endowed our political force with the needed legitimacy to do all the necessary reforms.

President of the new National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan—who is also a member of the majority “My Step” Faction in the legislature, on Friday told the abovementioned to reporters in parliament. He stated this while reflecting on the expected economic reforms in the country.

“We shall do those reforms, which perhaps at some phase will be unpopular,” Mirzoyan stressed. “We have things to do here; first, to ensure a public debate, because it, too, is based on our principles.

“The second task is the right communication. (…); that is, people don’t listen to all of those arguments, don’t go through that phase, and mentally don’t come to that same conclusion.”
