Armenia will not participate in the Azerbaijani arms race, said Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan on Tuesday.

According to him, Armenia highlights not quantity but quality of weapons, and the weapons purchased by the Armenian side can neutralize the aggressive encroachments of the enemy.

Armenia had moved to the purchase of offensive weapons, the minister said.

“The defending army is doomed to fail. We are not going to remain in the positions of the defending side,” the minister said.
