The number of Armenian citizens who have sought asylum in European countries has dropped three times in 2018, as compared with 2017, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said at his get-together with representatives of the Armenian community of Iran.

In his words, according to the 2018 results, 15,000 more people have returned to Armenia than have left the country, for the first time in twelve years.

“As a result of the discussions, we decided that the right way to create real opportunities [in Armenia] is to develop for everyone, so that everyone shall be equal before the law, so that there shall not be delinquencies, so that the right of ownership is respected, that there shall be opportunities for carrying out economic activities [in the country],” the PM stressed, in particular.

In Pashinyan’s words, real estate prices are going up substantially in capital city Yerevan, and, for the first time in twelve years, constructors have started talking about the need to build new apartments.
