Pakistan is hopeful they will manage to avoid a large-scale military conflict with India, otherwise the war would lead to mutual self-extermination, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said.

Pakistan never wants escalation and never wants to have a hostile position, he told CNN.
