Members of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) can participate in the evening march commemorating the victims of the events of 1 March 2008, if they want. This is what leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan told journalists near the statue of Myasnikyan on 1 March and said that he might participate in the march as well.

“Dear journalists, don’t politicize this. Everyone can participate in the march, including the people and MPs. Members of the Prosperous Armenia Party can also participate, if they want and if they find it appropriate,” he said.

When asked if he was going to participate in the march, the political party leader said he would, if he found it appropriate.

Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had announced that the 11th year following the events of 1 March would be marked with a powerful civil march from Freedom Square to the statue of Myasnikyan and invited everyone to Freedom Square at 18:30.

Today at 13:00, the PAP held a march to the statue of Myasnikyan to pay tribute to the 10 victims of the events that took place on 1 March 2008.
