US officials say North Korean hackers intensify activities

The U.S. authorities believe that North Korea has intensified attempts of cyber attacks to raise cash money from banks worldwide, CNN reported.

The North Korean hackers are using different options, for example, using ransomware, which lets hackers seize control of a business important systems and then demand payment in exchange for getting out,John Demers, assistant attorney general for national security at the Justice Department told CNN.

In another example North Korean hackers were behind a cyberattack on the Central Bank of Bangladesh and managed to steal $81 million.
