Azerbaijan regularly criticizes the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the team of the personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, and criticisms are made even by top leadership. This time the criticism was made by by the well-known military expert Abuzer Abilov.

In an interview with Minval.az, the expert stated that “there are no benefits for us from conducting such monitorings.” "Monitorings are being carried out during the last quarter of a century, but they do not bring either benefit, or result. Personally I consider that monitorings are being carried out formally, and all this is necessary for nobody",  Abilov said. 

"Armenia occupied territories of Azerbaijan therefore monitoring of a ceasefire regime must to be carried out on the internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia,and for this purpose the Armenian invaders must free our territories. If the invaders are still not expelled from our territory,what can be said about the monitoring? "  Abilov expressed his thoughts.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that monitorings "are regularly carried out within internationally recognized borders" on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Most likely, this fact was not known to the expert.

Asked about the extension of Ambassador Kasprzyk's mandate, the expert also gave an answer in the spirit of the Azerbaijani propaganda: "It is natural that I have negative attitude towards that decision. Personally, I think we should abandon OSCE MG services. What has been initiated by A. Kasprzyk during these years? No pressure was put on the Armenian leadership, underlining that these territories belong to Azerbaijan and Yerevan illegally controls these territories.
