President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak.
The President of Azerbaijan noted that the visit of Lajcak is a great opportunity to discuss the situation in the region, the Karabakh conflict settlement and other issues. Azerbaijani is the most interested side in a peaceful settlement of the conflict, Aliyev stressed.
Pointing out that a certain dynamics is observed in the negotiation process, as four meetings were held at the level of foreign ministers and three conversations were held between the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Aliyev noted that the Armenian side does not have any serious intentions to conduct substantive negotiations, and Armenia is trying to disrupt the negotiation process, Trend reported.
In turn, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office stressed that conflict prevention and mediation are among the important priorities, and they intend to contribute to the negotiation process to resolve the Karabakh conflict.
