Nineteen-year-old serviceman Karen Karapetyan, who died in Artsakh in unknown circumstances in the early hours of 12 March, was from the city of Gyumri of Shirak Province.

According to NEWS.am, Karen was recruited in the summer of last year and was serving in Mataghis. Investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances behind the incident.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee had reported that on 12 March at around 06:50, fixed-term serviceman Karen Karapetyan (born in 2000) received, in circumstances yet unknown, a lethal gunshot wound at the military position of one of the military units of the Defense Army of Artsakh (Karabakh) stationed in the northeastern direction.
