During its March 12 session, the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly adopted a decision to set up a task force for cooperation between small and medium enterprises, approved the rules of procedure of the task force and the members of the task force’s secretariat.

Vice-President of the SME Cooperation Association Hakob Avagyan stated that the Association had launched cooperation with the National Assembly last year and attached importance to the introduction of special criteria in order to ensure more involvement of businesses.

“This is more of an advisory body, and the purpose is to strengthen dialogue between Deputies of the National Assembly and SMEs,” Avagyan said.

Chairman of the Committee Babken Tunyan voiced hope that all issues would be solved through consensus.
