It would be right for the National Assembly to organize parliamentary hearings devoted to the current state of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This is what Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Armen Ashotyan wrote on his Facebook page.
He particularly stated the following:
“Taking into consideration the importance of the issue, the Speaker of the National Assembly can personally undertake this initiative (point 17, part 2, Article 5, Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly).
Hearings with political and analytical circles that will be as wide as possible, can be very effective for consolidating Armenia’s politicians around the Artsakh issue and will also be helpful for the current Deputies of the National Assembly, the prevailing majority of which are not appropriately aware of the conflict, and this can strengthen Armenia’s positions in the negotiations prior to the upcoming meeting of the leaders of the two countries”.
